My work is rooted in the urgent act of bearing witness. As a self-taught, multi-medium artist, I approach painting not as an aesthetic exercise but as a crucial tool for socio-political advocacy and radical visibility. My work serves as a dedicated counter-narrative to erasure, focusing on the lives, struggles and profound resilience of underserved and marginalized communities.
My central focus is the evaluation of narratives within the LGBTQIA+
and minority groups. Through the deliberate use of vibrant color, complex layering and textures, my work is driven by empathy and informed grassroots struggle.
For me, political art is not theoretical; it is biographical and essential. Each piece functions as a public record, challenging the dominant cultural norms and confronting systemic injustice. The figures I depict are intentionally centered and magnified, transforming victims of structural inequality into monuments of strength.
Having exhibited across various gallery and museum exhibitions, my intent remains constant: to leverage the institutional platform of art to ignite empathy, provoke critical thought, and move the viewer from passive observation to active allyship, helping to pave way toward equitable tangible change.
